Convention Promise and Pledge
To all those headed for Denver.
It is finally here! There are lots of people looking at the upcoming days with different thoughts/concerns. Josh is probably relieved/worried about whether it will all come together as he has planned/hoped. Attendees are wondering if all will be worth it, will things go well at home/business while they're away. Presenters and sponsors are fine-tuning their portion of the convention and wondering if their preparedness will pay off.
As one of those having been asked to participate and one that knows many of the others, I'll try to speak a bit for them and what is going through our minds. We want to do our part to make this a memorable and rewarding week. That is my promise and pledge and most likely the same of other participants.
I've always felt ATTITUDE makes all the difference. If you come to this Summit thinking it'll provide you opportunities to learn, network and expand your vision of real estate, it probably will. If you arrive with an ATTITUDE that you would be better served having stayed at home, you probably would have been better off staying at home.
Josh has prepared. Sponsors are prepared. Presenters are prepared. Are you? All of us are at your disposal. We all want attendees to be bugging the heck out of us. Come up to all of us with your thoughts, questions and input. Attend all the "extra" get togethers. Join the networking sessions, the meals that are being organized, the cocktail (sodas!) hours etc.
Determine the sessions you will attend in advance, study the three items the presenters will cover and the questions you want answered. We're going to be there for you.
As all the other participants, I'd hope to be busy the entire 4-5 days meeting with fellow BP members, answering questions and helping to make all attendees feel they were well rewarded for the cost/risk of leaving home.
Come up and say hi and bring your A game (attitude) with you. Leave your ego home and enjoy the comraderie and friendship of your fellow BP members. This can be a great week.
I promise and pledge to do all I can to help make this a memorable first BP Convention. There will never be another First! We'll all be a part. See you soon. Rich
