I would set a goal to analyze a certain number of deals each week and make offers on any that meet a certain criteria.

I started analyzing properties on MLS and came across a double in a good neighborhood in our area that was listed at 370k (the New Orleans area is expensive in good areas).  3 bed 2.5 bath both sides and approx. 3500 sq. ft. total. 

I’ve read the books, watched the videos, but I just don’t feel confident enough to analyze a property and commit to using a large chunk of what I’ve saved.

What is everybody's process to analyzing a good deal from a bad deal

It's free to analyze numbers on a possible investment property.

That said, my shorter term goal is to analyze as many deals as possible over the next 3 months so I can stay sharp and develop a better feel for values in the neighborhoods I am interested in. 

I'm hoping to get some feedback on the step by step method you would take as a newbie choosing a neighborhood and analyzing that market.

Are there tools that provide users the customization to analyze different markets, locations, etc.
