Just replace the tops, it is not much more expensive if your contractor gets the material from a wholesaler.

the free materials that were supposed to be provided at the 2 hr event have not been provided, even after 2 follow up emails to their main office asking why i wasnt given the materials/what would be done to 'check that box'!

As far as how we did it we did everything ourself besides the AC unit but have a good connect for that and the roof which we basically got at labor only as the guy had extra material.

Ideally, I want to build this branch and regional operation around the concept of adding value and helping build current Realtors businesses instead of the usual drop in and drop off marketing materials approach that is still all too common in this industry.
