I've had some experience in FL with rehabing 1920's-40's and most of the time you have no idea what it will take.You need to locate a top notch home inspection company that can get you a report and video of the crawl space, attic and any other structurally significant area that you can share in the planning stage.I just had a new construction home designed in S Fort Myers modeled after a 1940's bungalow and hiring the right people will make or break your project.

My only personal experience outside of transactions related to my primary residence is when my wife and I bought a SFR lot to build on (but never did), and then sold the property for a nice gain - that was fun!
