I'm with you, windowless envelopes are the way to go.Windowed envelopes have the connotation of being a bill, credit card offer, or spam mail and we do not want our letters to scream "SPAM!!"

I dont know if I would take notes, but I would definitely be ready to meet some people.If you dont have business cards, make some or have some very simple ones made that have your name and phone number.Get as many cards as you can.
