Then rinse and repeat after 1 full year of tenant income bc the banks will then convert the property to income on your balance sheet from the liability column after 1 FULL year of tenant income *on the books* ..

HiEven if it gets converted to triplex, make sure with the city that, they don’t ask you to install fire sprinklers.

Absolutely going to try an convert it to a Multi-Family, when I spoke with the City they informed me of the application and it's process.

Or something that could readily be converted.

A few suggestions: look for properties that can be converted to a higher use, and classified commercial.

thanks Rachel H. and Daniel Smithson, I have decided not to go ahead with the purchase due to the tiny lots (12x40) of the MHP, which are difficult to infill, more transient renters and would be difficult to convert to TOH.

For these reasons, if I wanted additional footage, I would look at other options than the balcony before looking to convert the balcony.
