I've been putting one smoke detector in the hallway and one in the kitchen in my rentals.

You can not fully appreciate the quality of the finishes (particularly the kitchen) from the video, none the less, I think it came out pretty well.

The water leaked through the edges of the vinyl floor and now there is a big water stain on in the ceiling in the downstairs kitchen.

Recently redone kitchen with granite, carport, washer/dryer in utility room.

I am completely redoing one of my rental units and I have a dilemma with the kitchen cabinets.I am trying to stay within a budget so I am shopping around for suited cabinetry.

It's currently listed at 360K but the place needs major repairs (e.g. kitchen completely gone, vanities missing, french doors gone and more) I don't think it's near worth that much in its current condition.

Jennifer Lee I'd say if you can't afford to stage a house completely, so that it has enough furnishings and decor to spark the imagination of the buyer envisioning living there, then focus on staging the bathroom and kitchen simply but of a quality befitting the potential home buyer, and make sure the house is painted in a neutral colors (that doesn't mean everything has to be builder beige!)

Anyway, I thought I'd share our before and after pictures of the kitchen in our REO that we purchased.

Kitchen and bath for "better halfs" mother last year, and deck around a pool for "better halfs" brother recently.

For example we put some simple things on fireplace mantles, kitchen counters, etc.I was concerned about selling during the Holidays, but found it to be no trouble at all this year.Jim
