I was looking at a vacation cottage rental in Baiting Hollow, NY.

HelloI am acquiring multiple no-vacation single family homes in non-vacation/touristic markets, mostly in the Midwest and Southeast (Dayton Oh, Winston Salem NC).

Investment Info:Townhouse buy & hold investment.Purchased a townhome near the beach as my first short term vacation rental!

However I have been requested by the Loan company to get a letter to vacate signed by the current tenant before I can close on the loan...... this does not seem right to me as I am not the owner of the property (yet). 

We’ve given them a 21 day notice to vacate and they’re really not communicating with us.

I know that not everybody loves it, but I think it's really approachable and the kids enjoyed it. 

Both trades are very important to a developer but I think it will come down to what you enjoy more.

After signing hundreds of properties into the top 2 vacation rental companies in the US, I can walk through a home in 10 minutes and let you know it's highest and best use as a STR.

The investors plan is to either raise the rents to market rates ($1200 - $1300) or give the tenant notice to vacate.
