Short term rental with non vacation single family homes
Hello
I am acquiring multiple no-vacation single family homes in non-vacation/touristic markets, mostly in the Midwest and Southeast (Dayton Oh, Winston Salem NC). The homes that I an acquiring are in the 3-4 bed and 1,200-1,600 sq ft range. Would these type of properties make a good short term rental portfolio?
My main business in long term rentals, and I dont invest in vacation homes, but would be open to furnish and rent them as short term rentals since if something would happen I could easily pivot back to rent them as a long term rentals and cashflow unlike expensive vacation homes.

Sounds like LTRs.
Check Vrbo and Airbnb in that area and see if anyone else is making a go of it.
