As I explained to my attorney if the owner can keep her home then I'm happy for them.My concern was mainly as to what others thought about the deal and your experiences, per the commissioner with 30+ years experience he had never seen this happen before.

Education is probably the key.Going forward knowing the answers to her concerns - and the ones she hasn't thought of yet - will go a long way toward understanding what REI is and what it isn't.Fear defeats everyone who lacks the knowledge to overcome their fears.Right now, of course, she's right: going into REI uneducated is an unwarranted gamble.

I caught the loan up and gave seller a little cash.Mark sure when you get authorization to speak to lender that the authorization is full access, meaning you can speak to the lender regarding statement mailing address, insurance, impound account, etc.
