Outside of the medical profession, there are people who are renting apartments currently in New York paying top dollar where they are able to come rent an entire house with a yard, etc. for the same or even less than what they are paying for a rental property.

@Cash Lawless, I know in Cali if you own property and go into a nursing home and it is paid by Medi-Cal, the government has a right to force the sale at market value.

Items go on the curb, the landlord is NOT required to store anything (except prescription medicine or prescription medical equipment which must be held 7 days from the date of discovery).

Especially if the bankruptcy was recent because his debt to income ratio should be great and he cannot file for several more years.Probably 50% or more of bankruptcies I filed were from a family who had a major medical issue and had many thousands of dollars of medical bills.
