Many older areas of the country still use lead pipes so it is hard to prove who did what wrong, if you only recently purchased a 100 year old home and did not know what material the water line was.  

Or should I start my investing portfolio in a different less volatile area of the country? 

In many countries, Russian-speaking investors take leading positions in the residential property market. 

I definitely won't be able to travel to the countries, or get GTR i dreamed of, or support my family comfortably even if i was a brain surgeon, and that's after the 25 years of college for that.

What a difference there is throughout the country!

It's crazy if we can go unchecked like this as landlords; with power, should come responsibility, as that's what the political fabric of this country depends on!
