@Roy Gottesdiener - I am not familiar with the rental market with Kings Mountain specifically, but there is grow happening in that area with the building of the Catawba Two Kings Casino. 

There are thousands more vacation rentals in Seaside so higher competition that could lead to less occupancy or an undercut in prices because they have lower expenses than I would.

A totally managed vacation rental - think ski condo in a central managed destination. 

I'm looking into the possibility of doing some STR rental arbitrage in the greater Houston area.

Investing in Florida, especially in Tampa, is a fantastic idea due to strong population growth, high rental demand, and no state income tax.
