I really enjoy looking at what designers are doing for inspiration and trying to "get the look for less" in our rental renovations.

Since we allowed our teenage/young adult children to be part of the deal, they've been part of the renovation process - learning how to demo, budget, and get their hands a little bit dirty :) It's been a fun project and we're now hoping to turn it into a short term rental.

Below are my thoughts on pros/cons.Pro: 1) Most likely easier to find a tenant as people tend to prefer fences for children/pets.Cons: 1) Tenant is more likely to have a pet which could result in other costs.
