To Install a Fence or Not to Install a fence
Hey Everyone,
I have a duplex in the Kansas City area without a chainlink fence. I got a few quotes that all come in right around $4,000. The fence would divide the two sides and provide a fenced in area for each.
My question for all of you is if you think it is worth the investment to install a chainlink fence. Most other properties in my neighborhood have a fence. Below are my thoughts on pros/cons.
Pro: 1) Most likely easier to find a tenant as people tend to prefer fences for children/pets.
Cons: 1) Tenant is more likely to have a pet which could result in other costs. I do charge pet fees. 2) More difficult for tenant to maintain the yard as they will need to trim grass/branches around fence. 3) Potential future cost to upkeep fence.
There seem to be more cons in my point of view, but the one pro is might outweigh them. What are all your thoughts?
Thanks!
Kyle
