These issues (and flooring problems) added almost a month-and-a-half in delays.  

I have one permanent renter (full week renter) and one temporary (lives here half weeks).

I would love to hear more about your experience the past year and a half, whether or not you would do it again etc. 

Working with a local lender I'm completing the process of doing a cash-out refinance where they pay off the balance of the original 2012 loan and then give me cash on the difference between what is owed on that loan and the current appraisal - minus 20% equity to remain in the property.  4.75% 30-yr fixed.I'll be able to draw over $200K in capital that I'll immediately then roll into a large self-storage facility purchase (with a partner) as my half of that down payment.  

Went to install it and the toilet lower half went in fine but the tank hit the wall and wouldn't seat properly in the lower half.Measured the rough in distance and it came in at 9" , the old toilet had already went into the dumpster and off to the landfill, so there is no turning back.So now i'm curious, how much space does a 10" rough in toilet typically have behind the tank?

Hi there,My husband and I are moving about an hour and a half away, to an inner ring suburb (closest to the city) of Cleveland.

Come to find out half way through I needed to fire him for a very poor job done.

Just a few days ago, the property next door caught on fire and half of the house burned down.

Do you think paying half of a mortgage payment twice a month versus paying a full mortgage payment once a month is actually worthwhile.Let me know your thoughts!

Say I plan on buying a duplex and rent out one half as well as maybe a bedroom in the one I occupy, now i have two units, what kind of reserves do I need at all times and for what purpose?
