I sent it about 108 days....Mail takes a while to travel and since I also sent it return receipt (extra cost to have her sign for it), I wanted to give her a few extra days, in case she missed the delivery and would have to go to the post office to pick it up.

We like to travel, so we rent a lot of STRs....hate staying in hotels. 

Heavily invested in real estate & then retiring in '98 I eliminated my biggest danger to life ... traveling 2 hours to/from a JOB in crazy traffic every day. 

I am only looking to invest in rental properties within this area, as I am more familiar with the location and is within travel distance.Curious to hear what others have seen, and thoughts in investing rental properties in the Bay Area that shows positive cash flow.Thanks!

I'm a licensed agent in South Florida but I have been traveling and inactive for about 2 years.

There are obviously some loopholes especially with people who travel 24/7 for work.

People always travel for those big live shows and conventions that happen there pretty frequently, and much of the time they need a place to stay.

I may want to keep working or I may want to go RE Professional at that point but either way I want time to play with grandkids, to travel and to enjoy life while I’m still healthy enough to do it.I see so many people who wait until 65 to retire and by then they can’t get around well enough to do what they’ve always dreamed of or they have a spouse with serious medical problems that can’t go anywhere.

Typically a small recession does not cause rents or travel to go down too much.

We have State Farm HQ nearby so I'm thinking those travelling for business would be our target if we went that route.
