Transferring license to Illinois from Florida

Provi Hall
Posted

Hi everyone. My husband and I are transitioning from Florida to Chicago and we're looking to purchase and house hack our first property. I'm a licensed agent in South Florida but I have been traveling and inactive for about 2 years. I'd like to transfer my license to Illinois so that I can represent our transaction. I'm just getting back into the real state business and I'm a little nervous about where to start. Please advise if you've transferred your license to Illinois and the process as I've contact goamp, psi and the idfpr and I'm being told different things regarding the process and fees

@Provi Hall - Il has reciprocity with FL so you just need to pass the test and find a sponsoring broker - no need to go through the schooling
