Los Angeles  is putting in place a moratorium which will put a halt to evictions & late fees if a tenant stops paying rent. 

I was considering on waiving all late fees and reducing my rents across the board by 20%.

I anticipate that all of us are going to get some late rents and we'll need to be open to working with our tenants by allowing more time, temporarily canceling late fees and maybe by temporarily dropping the monthly rent for a month or two. 

Good afternoon everyone,I currently have a home under contract and I am using a 203k loan to purchase and renovate the property.

I planned on taking the in-person course in late spring, but I might as well take advantage of this extra free time!

I've been told that they are going to work really hard to get it heard this afternoon because today is the last day the house is in session. 

Being that you're a few days away from closing, it might be a bit too late but its always worth a shot.I'd recommend trying to negotiate some kind of credit from the seller. i.e. seller credit to go towards closing costs. 

We fear that the owner of our management company, who is of a different generation than my husband and I, will lean toward a more tenant focused approach on early lease terminations, late or nonpayment of rent, evictions, etc. 

We have a batch of properties that we took over with tenants late last year, and a number of those properties came with bugs and are on recurring treatment schedules with Orkin. 

It seems like tenants will need far more than late fee waivers...
