The boot-camp you attended is teaching you the wrong way to go about this all.  

Although the "Black Scholes model" and "CAPM" sound great in theory, I didn't find much practicality in many of the theories that my professors were teaching to us.

I know some have reputations of trying to pitch paid teaching/program and such, and I'm trying to avoid these.
