Different medium, but I did the same thing when I got into lending - I thought I was nuts and so did everyone around me b/c I got into this at the bottom, in mid-2009, so I've never known what an "easy" deal is, or paying off my appraiser to get value, or any of the other crazy things people used to do to get loans done.

Take both to the treasurer department and tell them your property is dead nuts in the middle, they'll get you a sidwell number and address.

Says it is mostly a commercial fishing town but starting to attract attention as part of the Tampa area.If houses are that cheap I wouldn't mind buying beachfront and renting out to cover the costs.I just do not want to drop a ton of money for the more premium areas where there is little appreciation left to occur.
