Joined commercial brokerage. Am I crazy?!

So I pushed the chips all in, and I left my comfortable union job in favor of a position at a commercial brokerage as a salesperson making only commission. It's been a few days already, so far so good. No hard deals to speak of yet but a few potential ones in the works. A friend of mine works at this particular brokerage and he just made it sound like such a great oppurtuniy, and it seemed to come along at just the right time.

Has anyone done this? I know how much the guys in this office make and if I can hack it, I can make a killing, as well as invest commission in big deals. I know it's a risk but I'm determined to make it work. I'm getting licensed at night while working all day. I know that it's possible not to see any money for quite a while but I feel like that's what separates those who kinda want it who aren't willing to sacrifice from those who are willing to make the sacrifice of grinding it out until a deal closes. I chose the latter.

We can never achieve greatness in our comfort zones. I recently got licensed in Connecticut and joined a brokerage as a realtor. I am on maternity leave currently and plan to do real estate sales so that I don't have to go back to work.

We  must take risks in order to see rewards. Congratulations on your decision and wishing you the best. Keep at it and don't look back.
