They have 3 agents on a team and have to split 3 ways and on top of that give 50% to the commercial firm.So if they are selling a 10 million property they take a crappy 1% fee. 3 agents on the listing side 33k apiece and then 50% goes to the head firm.

It IS helpful to have someone on your team who is licensed, but being licensed yourself may impose limitations you may not want to deal with.
