Most of my time is spent moving stuff around, driving to the dump, going to Lowe's and cleaning up the latest rehab mess that I am trying to call home.How could I make the current house hacking situation feel more like home?

@Ani Kap looks like nice stuff but can’t speak to it because I haven’t used it.

When you add big items like remodels or putting up fences etc, you deprecate that stuff over a longer period of time.

And I absolutely know they can't physically move (they can barely get up to answer the door) so I even offered to come over today and help them sort through stuff and pack and they declined.

It make sense if you have to replace stuff anyways but not so much if its an upgrade to a working piece of equipment.
