I got a letter from my insurance company saying I needed to re-paint my house (wood siding) and then got another letter from the tax assessor saying my assessed value had increased by 30%. 

Some believe touch up paint means you walk around the house, touching up spots, but that never works as it does not blend in with the rest of the wall, so the entire wall has to be repainted.  

This incident flooded my apartment and I am in the process of replacing my hardwood floors, getting the walls repaired and repainted due to water damage.

My contractor plans to remove the ugly siding, tuckpoint the brick where needed and repaint the brick.

I ask because I researched this issue for siding and found that you can re-paint siding but only a color of the same intensity.

I'm debating on replacing the broken pieces and priming and repainting the whole house..

In that unit I have repainted, put in new carpets, and restored it to a livable situation.

I'm hoping it will mostly air out, but I have a feeling I'm going to be repainting the apartment for the second time in less than a year.

A couple recommendations:You can't "repaint" a tile tub surround.

Units were repainted, new kitchens, new bathrooms, new central AC in both (they already had central heat) and new washer/dryer in one of them (other one already had it).
