Help! Paint brick exterior and choose colors

This is our place on the corner, the front is light gray Dryvit/EIFS (stucco) and the side is two different colors of brick. I have some brick to patch on the sides and it'll probably end up being slightly different color-wise than the other two shades, which leads me to the decision to paint the whole house once the patch work is complete. The second picture is one my wife likes and wants to replicate, I'm looking for some thoughts or ideas, other color choices, etc. Thanks!

@Diane Bartley I have been looking at Houzz, that's where I got the whitewashing idea from. I love that site!
