Nathan Valmonte Condo ceiling leaking from dog piss of upstairs neighbors

The ceiling had maggots and smelled nasty due to the upstairs dogs pissing into our ceiling causing the intermittent leaking (no pipes in the area, and its dark yellow liquid that smells bad).I have called our insurance who have said that since maggots were growing, its been like that a while and they cannot do anything and to contact upstairs neighbors insurance.

Hopefully a frozen pipe wont have caused too much water damage, your insurance carrier could look at a frozen pipe and deem it as neglect or lack of maintenance as water lines shouldn't freeze if properly  taken care of and thus not pay anything as far as remediation goes

I didn’t find any unicorns yet of how to keep it super warm but will see if the cover makes a material difference Insulate your pool: Adding a pool cover or blanket can help to keep heat in the water and reduce the amount of energy needed to maintain a comfortable temperature.Set the thermostat correctly: Set the thermostat to the desired temperature and avoid making frequent adjustments, as this can cause the heater to cycle on and off more frequently, which can increase energy usage.Keep the heater clean: Make sure to clean the filter and other parts of the heater regularly to ensure it is operating at its best.Use a timer: Use a timer to turn the heater off when it is not in use.

I would suggest consulting with an independent agent that handle construction and contractors and ask if your state's workers comp system would cause you to be at risk for a Workers Comp. claim.
