Only so many persons can be packed into any 1 residence, so even with housing costs meeting or exceeding 50% of a person's gross income, it will be paid if that is what the market requires, and a person will make cuts in other spending.

Also with a Realtor you are cutting out 3% of what you can make and this is coming from a Realtor.
