Hello BP Members, I was looking for development property within Texas.

Easiest money is to look at the edges of Hamilton where the development is moving and buy in those areas.

Our long term goal is to acquire multiple multi-family properties over the next 5-10 years, and to eventually trade up for an apartment complex.

Has anyone had experience purchasing property from the city and developing a new house on it?

Eventually you and I will own enough real estate to be able to quit our jobs and only be professional real estate investors. 

$250 Million Apartment, Office Project In The PipelineAUSTIN (Austin American-Statesman) – Capella Capital Partners is developing North Gateway Plaza, a $250 million multi-building project at 10615 Burnet Rd.

The house is a border line tear down and I got such a great price on it that I could still make money on the dirt if for some reason I couldn't get the issue resolved and had to tear down and a buyer eventually build something back within the property lines. 

Some day I will develop and exchange the investment for the land but in the meantime I'm non-accredited and looking to invest in crowdfunding in the meantime. 

Maybe we could buy a vacation rental before we move out while we have work history and eventually move into it?
