I do the round trip to show my displeasure with the requirement (and the fact that they were charging inactivity fees without informing me) and to demonstrate that it will have no effect on how often I use the accounts for substantial business.

I think purchasing a multi-unit and going the house hacking trick is a great way to get your feet wet especially if you're leaning toward buy-hold...the Highlands area will be a tough one to find a good deal on but it is possible!
