It's my favorite age to buy value-add houses:Pros: usable electric wiring most of the time; 200 amp breaker boxes are common; asbestos is (relatively) rare and mostly contained to flooring tiles and siding; windows, foundations and roofs are usually decent, hardwood floors, standard sizes on things (doorknobs, locksets, etc).
