Hello BP Community,If I were to invest in mortgage notes should I do it as an individual and I would hold the note, or through a corporate entity (like an LLC) and have that entity purchase and hold the note ? 

I have used quit claim deeds before to move interest in my properties to corporations with no issue but I knew I had interest and that I was conveying that interest to a corporation.

To give you an idea of the requirements, at least half of the Corporation’s assets would need to be invested in real estate that is directly managed or developed by the Corporation.

one of the first things you do is form a company that is some type of corporation or an LLC.  

Canadian Controlled Private Corporation (CCPC) is a Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) designation for a small, private company in Canada.

Im not looking to stay in corporate America forever though.

:)I chose my specific zip codes, mortgage amount of $1-$200k, Equity of 35% to 100%, Length of residence greater than 5 years, property types I was looking for, excluse corporate owned, Absentee owned in and out of state, excluded trustee owned.

People try to fill that emptiness with even more money and moving up the corporate ladder but it can still be unfulfilling.If you can do what love and make good money at it that can be a recipe for great happiness in life.  

-I am concerned that a full time commercial position will be a strong headwind for escaping the corporate world.

Our LLCs have several DBAs including one that simply shortens our long business name from MapleStar Real Estate Investments, LLC to MapleStar REI LLC so our business name fits on our corporate credit cards.
