Chad,  A few paragraphs about how one might go about getting into private lending and the keys to succeeding in it as you have would be greatly appreciated by the BP community.

I understand LA is a tough area but I know its not impossible to succeed in this market. 

I am new to REI but very motivated to succeed at it.

I want to succeed at what I put my blood sweat and tears too. 

What's worse, is someone like me who has no mentor & wants to learn & succeed SO badly... just don't have a dime to my name to even pay for postage stamps to do direct mailings!

Thus I was forced to succeed.

Also, I wouldn't focus too much on buying homes not succeeding because if you do it right, you will succeed.

Real estate investing carries risk and people need to acknowledge that, also if you are a true entrepreneur at heart you will find a way to succeed, not everyone will try as hard as you, and most will probably give up because they don’t have the heart to see the vision through.

I am also VERY passionate about working with others to help them succeed.

However, such a strong focus on one single (quite advanced) approach does not seem to be the most appropriate topic of a book that is supposed to present an overview on how to invest in real estate, which the title seems to suggest.The Bottom LineIf you are an experienced investor who specifically wants to understand how to get into and succeed in large multi-family deals, this book is amazing.
