The only other tax issue not covered is how long you need to hold an asset before selling it to have the profit considered capital gains versus ordinary income.Check with a tax professional on all this.

@Ran Fridman the main issue most owners run into early on is that whatever tool they are using for accounting isn't robust enough for tax time.

Are there any issues that are complete no-go's?

With the turmoil in the Market in FL, you may want to ask about the things that would cause issues getting coverage or causing higher rates.  

Are you wanting to be on asset management calls and dealing with issues that arise?

I would call a plumber for the water heater and leak issues.

The county assessor’s office issues property tax cards.

3) Are there any specific requirements or compliance issues for an out-of-state LLC owning property in Texas?

My thoughts on home prices... the supply and demand issue is not going anywhere, and it could take a long time to correct... residential home prices will continue to appreciate during that time.
