Start here:  https://indyhousing.org/housin...There's an application you have to complete and there's terms and conditions you have to agree to in order to be a landlord under the program.Then call/email the Housing Authority to introduce yourself, provide the closing date, and obtain tenant information; the phone number and email is provided on the link provided.And, you can't change a Section 8 Tenant Lease any more than you can change one with any other tenant.

That's to lower the risk of vacancy and turning the unit, because that is always a possible outcome in these cases, in the tenants mind--Evil Landlord vs friendly family pet kitty (if it were a Pit Bull or other insurance restricted breed dog the animal would have to go).You have now been introduced to the "Service Animal", and over time will probably be introduced to the "Neighborhood outdoor cat, that has just been let inside to be petted and is not theirs".

I talked to tenants, introduce myself, sign lease with tenants and advise tenants to stop payment to the manager, Larry Danner and pay to my PO Box by money order or cashier's checks.I need to remodel 19 other homes that are not liveable now, one by one to improve the rental income.
