Hi,Currently my partner and I have over 30 properties in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago and believe we have the scale to bring the property management function "in-house." 

I've been a builder and developer since the 80's in Texas, Southwest, the Midwest and now Florida.

Do we go North, East, South, West or something in between? 

Ideally I'd like to start out purchasing real estate in the Sacramento/ central valley and then branch out from there...West Coast, Southwest, South and Italy.I hope to gain a few things from BP.A better understanding of real estate financing.

I am a 44yr old married guy from Sugar Land, which is located southwest of Houston in Fort Bend County.  

I bought a 1/1 unit in one of the newer buildings in the south west area close to the light rail station.

We've rehabbed 6 houses on our own and I've now wholesaled north of 300 deals to other real estate investors.I've recently left a company that I was finding deals for and have started my own company - Craftsman Properties - to provide deals, contractor referrals, financing, design assistance and real estate brokerage services to folks flipping houses in Southwest Ohio.  

I live in a rural area in southwest Georgia and find it difficult to comp properties in order to do a deal.

HiCan you tell me why the Chicago market- I'm curious...North, South, West sides?

So on a high level there are 3 major geographic areas, the east (east of the Squirrel Hill Tunnels and the Monongahela River), the South/West Hills (south of the Mon. to the west up toward Beaver County), and the North Hills (north of the Allegheny).
