I'm not a 100% subscriber to that idea, but on the off chance it does happen, you will be SOL if your primary residence loses whatever equity you have left post-HELOC.

I like the way iCloud works but don't want a contracted manager to have access to, say, my reading list.Dropbox seems to be an option but I know little about it.Any advice or input would be much appreciated.

I try to subscribe to their mailing lists so I see some of the issues other investors are talking about. 

Credit bureaus have an agreement with subscribers not to delete accurate data.

If you subscribe to that thinking, you'll be in trouble.I suggest you get outside and look at properties in person.
