The insurance company paid out 8100 for the water damage and 5200 for the building that was drove into. 

They are completely separate buildings (500 ft. apart) but share water connections, entrance easements and such.

If you see signs of water damage in the basement (if there is a basement) you may change your mind. 

There was a creek in the back yard and the birthday kids played in the water and mud and tracked it all over my house. 

This is a 100+ yr old brownstone, the layout of the basement does not allow for storage cages and with the 3 boilers, water heaters, and where the utilities/sewer line etc are arranged there isn't a way to accommodate storage without blocking access to the circuit breakers, meters, or the basement's bulkhead doors.

I'm reviewing a Condo that contains HOA fees that cover things like the exterior (Roof, siding, landscaping) along with hot water heaters. 

There are lot's of old buildings and it can be hard to keep water out of the basement.
