Find someone who truly enjoys talking shop and is passionate about REI.  

There are alot of brokers/agents who barely squeak by but they do not usually have the passion and drive everyday to get better and better.I know if someone mentiones to me about commissions and being a cheapo when they call me then I e-mail them or tell them on the phone in a matter of seconds they are not for me.

To be totally honest, real estate was never a passion of mine and I hadn’t given it much thought until I read “Rich Dad Poor Dad.”

I will say this for myself--I LOVE to work hard, and believe passionately and firmly that you reap what you sow.

I'm leaving 10 years of corporate experience where I worked for a chemical company to follow my passion for real estate investing.

In my case, I don't need someone with passion & energy. 

All this to say, I clearly have a passion for the area and believe in its potential.

I know mixing passion with investing may dampen long term success, but fortunately the charm is well intact and hasn't been erased by oblivious renovation.

We have never gotten any kind of cashflow from our properties, but I have a real interest/passion for real estate and think I would really enjoy doing this. 

It made you gear up and get passionate, it made you envision the restoration, it made you figure out the financing.
