Because of the prices in my area, it seems harder to find properties that meet my basic criteria for cash flow in my area.I'd like to find a resource that enables me to compare rental property markets in one view.

@David Traeger Depending on your view of the market, for Silicon Valley capital appreciation and the extremely strong rental market (quality of tenants, v low vacancy, consistent job and income growth...etc)

I am pretty sure that you are talking about paying $100,000 which is worth $100,000 - perhaps less, so no in-place equity.
