Directly behind my monitor is a blank wall in a nice relaxing color. 

My first thought is that at least 15 people were in there.Maybe this a common practice (to pile as many bodies as possible) to share the cost or big extended family, especially given that the holiday rate was probably peak.If this is also common for smaller 2-BR/1-BR cabins, why not just get older cabins for 100k less since the renters aren’t going to take care of your property?

I had gotten home from work, relaxed a bit, than ran out for less than 30 minutes to run a few quick errands.

Not to beat a dead horse but the laws for inlaw unit in oakland are actually pretty relaxed now. 

@Lee Smithis right...I had a tenant who requested that I don't evict a tenant over the holidays and extend the vacate so that they can "still enjoy time with their family"...........................I had two attorneys around me who promptly giggled at her--the tenant was out in 5 business days.
