I have been told it should be in your name, but I use bank statements from an LLC that does not directly match the name I use on the purchase contract and I have yet to get pushback and have had a bunch of offers accepted.If you don’t have the funds then find a private lender that is willing to write you a letter stating that the funds to close will be available regardless of appraisal or home inspection on the property.

Some folks prefer the long lease, but we have done it both ways and as long as you do a good job on screening/matching the resident to the property they both seem to work.Cheers
