The end goal is to have a substantial amount of passive income as well as build equity, to have additional security for my family in case something were to ever happen to myself or my job.  

I think what I need to be doing is reassessing my goals.

My goal is to start building extra passive/cashflow. 

My goal is to learn as much as I can and hopefully have some rental properties bought by this time next year.

The question you really need to ask is what are your goals.

My goal is to do such a good job that all my clients will never want to buy or sell another house without me.

My goal by the end of 2017 is to own an investment property. 

My goal in life is to develop sustainable ecosystems to create a better world and inspire others to build a better world together.

Whether this is classic BRRRR or not, my goal was to minimize my out of pocket cash invested.Another way to learn from this is to look at the numbers and back into what I "should have paid" for the property. 

I currently do not have any investment properties, but I am working on my business plan and have goals set to have my first property by October of 2017.
