I keep seesawing between a full-time career in real estate/investing and a career in financial advising so if anyone has any insight I would love to hear it.I have prior experience rehabbing in Southern California with my dad, and am interested in getting into a multi-family owner occupied situation upon my graduation (fingers crossed on the graduation part)Looking forward to contributing and hopefully getting know some of you.Andy

There is a "City Directory" for all good size cities with cross reference telephone numbers to the address, now, I've not used these in several years, I know many don't have landlines at home and rely on a cell phone, if you can't call, send a note.So, this IMO, but I wouldn't mention short sales unless I knew they were in distress.BTW, make sure you never use the "F" word in a letter soliciting a seller, the "F" word is FORECLOSURE!

However this doesn't tell me any information about what the assessor has listed for bedrooms, baths, etc and what I would want to cross reference to give me a clue if something is permitted (more follow up would be required, obviously).
