His company is Kalbro group, llc, 509 w. old northwest highway, Barrington, il 60010I'm naturally skeptical of this email and was wondering if anyone had heard of this company/man and what his scam is?

Do a search on Biggerpockets, there's several threads devoted to Private Money / Hard Money loans, etc.

Having dealt with my fair share of unreliable contractors, apathetic real estate agents, problematic lenders I am weary about attempting to "build a team" when I can't personally vet these individuals like I could here, throw in the issue of trust and potential for scams, and it makes me weary.

But you always seem to run into those home owners who think you are out to scam them.

But with the scams going on I check the numbers as best I can before I call . 

There are a lot of foreclosure rescue scams involving leasebacks.

Over the years I have had an interest in real estate, but devoted most of my time to my current position.

I suppose a person can scam investors, lie to his wife and family but he can't lie to the Lord.With the way that things are happening, it has to be nothing short of miracles.
