For me I simply did not know anything else.. started selling RE at 18 and never looked back.. investing was not an interest to me per semaking money was though to support family put kids through collage without them having to take on loans .. live in a nice home and environment  travel and never work for anyone.. 

Also be sure to check the laws, for example here where I live airbnb's are illegal in Provo UT (unfortunately) but legal in the sister city Orem, UT.

But for something you want to travel in you almost certainly get a registration certificate from the DMV and not a tax bill from the county appraiser. 

I would rather give that to our local investor brother or sister that to the big companies.
