If you are trying to say, your rental period is from the 1st of the month, but your rent is due by 28th of the prior month, I suspect you are going to have an unpleasant encounter with the Landlord Tenant Board.There are times when it makes sense to set the monthly period on a date other than the first of the month, but logistically it will be far easier for you and your tenants if you stick with the first of the month ... especially if you have plans to increase the number of units in your portfolio.

It's business and sometimes it's demanding, unpleasant so take note and review landlord tenant laws for your state. and It's nice to know the building inspectors.. so hopefully your rental license is valid and if not get it scheduled for inspections and pay the fees for license.
