Set up keyword alerts on topics that interest you and get involved in the community.  

For example, you set up key word alerts. http://www.biggerpockets.com/alerts

Keep Self-Storage as a keyword in BP and you'll get looped into any/all discussions on the topic.

Also set "jersey" as one of your keywords.
