Introduction

Hello BP community.  My name is Daniel Wilson. I'm what you'd call a "newbie" in the field of real estate investing.  In fact, even that may be a misnomer considering I've yet to buy a property!  I am, however, highly motivated to begin my real estate education and stumbled upon BP a couple of weeks ago.  I've since devoured much content and am chipping away at the podcasts on my long commute to and from work, in addition to books, articles, etc.

Speaking of work, I'm currently in law enforcement for a major metropolitan suburb outside of Minneapolis.  I love my job and have no illusions of leaving to pursue real estate solely. What does interest me is creating and building wealth over the next 15-20 years through a buy and hold strategy.  I've reached the point where I have the liquidity to begin and the maturity and focus to stay on track. What I'm currently lacking is knowledge and courage to jump in.

Since no one enjoys rambling posts, I'll sign off here.  It's great to be part of the BP community and I'm looking forward to tapping into the abundance of experience and knowledge represented here.
