I have been working the job for 1 year and am interested in starting my own property management company from scratch.

A couple small pieces of advice when selecting contractors I would offer which is used in the commercial world is to always make sure you have (3) bids per job and level their scopes of work to make sure they are ‘apples to apples’.

Someone gave me that advice and I listened to them. 6 months later I quit my job and have been doing this full time since '16 now. wouldn't have it any other way.

Developers are looking at highest and best use of the land (this can vary greatly based on location, job growth, the taxes, the township, etc).

He is not a student but a tenant who had a job and had a major downward trend and seemed to give up.

Vetting the TK partner is a job in itself, and it will surprise you how much it can tend to not be hands off.  

I have a great job but Id rather mountainbike and hunt every day while my kids still like hanging out with us.  

This past experience really got me interested in real estate.I travel a lot for my current job, which I enjoy, but I hope to one day have the freedom to create my own schedule, wealth, and be able to have more time to spend with my family and friends. 

I currently work In the RAN (Royal Australian Nay) but within the next 2 months i'm going back to my prior AMAZING job (which sadly pays a little less as an outdoor educational instructor) Eventually i'd like to get to a stage where i'm pocketing enough through investment properties that my day job's income doesn't really matter and i can continue working where i love.I have just finished reading the Ultimate Beginner's Guide To Real Estate Investing which has given me plenty of ideas and as you can imagine even more questions.

Although the time saved might be worth the extra premium...So I've been to Birmingham a couple of times because I used to cover that area at my last job, and I thought that the city was really nice.
